How true, how true. There are so many houses in my development (pretty nice area) that are being foreclosed on because the salespeople for the builders convinced a lot of the buyers to go for a 5 year variable interest mortgage - fuckers. I actually refused to deal with a particular builder after their agent tried to use that scheme to get me into a house I could only afford in that manner- Giant Asshole Fucker.
